Feb. 7 – La Dolce Vita at WMODA

Saturday, February 7, 2026,
11:00 am to 2:00 pm

Celebrate the Venetian Carnival, Mardi Gras, and the “sweet life” at WMODA during this entertaining program, included with regular museum admission.

At 11:00 am, Louise Irvine, Executive Director & Curator, will introduce Chihuly’s Venetian connections and the Murano maestri who are represented in the Hot Glass Gallery, including Lino Tagliapietra, Pino Signoretto, and the Ferro Brothers.

Experience the magic of Venice through our spectacular selection of Balocoloc masks, handcrafted in the traditional Venetian Style. You can even take a piece of Carnival home with you as these works of art are available for purchase in the WMODA Museum Shop.

As a fun activity for the whole family, guests can decorate their very own Carnival or Mardi Gras masks, using colorful beads, feathers and other festive accessories.

Continue your Venetian experience by exploring Italianissimo jewelry from Murano and vintage Italian arts and crafts in Diane and Mauro Genaretti’s pop-up shop. You can also find Venetian goti and lampworked Murano glass sculptures introduced to WMODA by Sergio Gnesin. Don’t miss the stunning Venetian silk paintings by Anna Paola Cibin and the exhibition of innovative mosaics by Italianmosaico, also available for sale at WMODA.

Experience La Dolce Vita right here in South Florida and learn more about La Serenissima’s connection to the Fired Arts on display at WMODA.
