The Caring Place

The WMODA team wishes you a wonderful Easter and invites you to participate in the annual Giving Thanks on Good Friday event. Organized by The Caring Place. On March 29, more than 300 volunteers will come together to serve the homeless and hungry of South Florida across The Caring Place campuses in Miami and Broward County.

Luis and Nini Montanez from WMODA will be helping at the Broward Outreach Center located at 2056 Scott Street in Hollywood on Good Friday, distributing mission hope bags filled with essential items like hygiene products, clothing, and socks. To bring joy to families, The Caring Place will also be providing Easter Baskets to over 600 families in all their centers.

Luis and Nini spearheaded the Heart for the Homeless campaign on behalf of WMODA in February and presented a check to Lian Navarro, Community Development Associate for the Caring Place, in the museum on February 29. Lian and Mitch Haller enjoyed a preview of WMODA and told the team about the great work they are doing in our community. They are anticipating over 2,000 homeless and low-income individuals at their annual event on Friday, March 29.

If you would like to volunteer or help sponsor this event, please call Lian at 786-210-0554. You can also donate directly to caringplace.org.
