Step into the sensational world of candle making at this workshop inspired by the vibrant animal patterns of the Ardmore Safari for the Soul exhibition at WMODA. Our expert instructor Nini Montanez, award-winning founder of Candle Nerds, will guide you through the entire process from choosing scents and colors to pouring and setting your one-of-a-kind candle.
Unleash your creativity as you select vibrant dyes to bring your custom candle design to life, crafted from luxurious Coconut Apricot wax. Choose your signature scent, whether you prefer notes that are warm and woodsy, green and earthy, or airy and aquatic. While your custom creation sets in its striking, Zebra-striped tin, you will learn more about the heartwarming story behind Ardmore ceramic art and design from South Africa. Ultimately, you will leave the museum with your beautiful candle in hand, a glowing reflection of your unique artistic spirit. The WMODA workshop is a safe, unique experience using non-toxic materials. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a guardian.
The Stripes of Inspiration workshop includes:
- Expert instruction for the 1.5 hour class led by Nini Montanez from Candle Nerds
- All materials needed for candle-making, including container, choice of scents, and dyes
- Use of specialized equipment for the duration of the workshop
- While your candle sets, you can enjoy the Safari for the Soul exhibition at WMODA
- You will leave the museum with your unique candle, which will be ready to burn in 24-48 hours
- The cost of the workshop includes admission to WMODA
