WMODA invites you to an exclusive opportunity to preview our new Splash! exhibition, celebrating the sea through contemporary ceramics and glass. Meet the artists displaying their spectacular works and hear all about the inspirations for their installations. Tickets are limited to the first 50 guests who register. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to dive into our newest exhibit before the official opening on Saturday, February 21st.
Dive into the underwater world created by glass artist Josh Fradis, inspired by Florida’s tropical paradise. See how he has mastered molten glass to portray diaphanous jellyfish, sea turtles, and octopus in a habitat of Coral Caverns and foam-crested waves. Plunge into the Venetian lagoon with Anna Paola Cibin from Venice, who paints mesmerizing shoals of fish with Murano glass eyes on silky velvet. Hear about the traditional Venetian techniques Anna uses and how her Joyful Fish leapt out of the water when there was no more room in the lagoon.
