The Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts partnered with the Lion and Unicorn Auction House and Worthpoint to create a pop-up valuation event inspired by the upcoming movie Lost and Found in Cleveland.
The Lost & Found in Cleveland comedy film was inspired by the Antiques Roadshow and The Wizard of Oz, and it will be released in cinemas nationwide on November 7.
Jeff Niquette from the Lion & Unicorn and ISA appraiser Linda Saft joined us at WMODA on Saturday, November 1, to provide professional evaluations on fine antiques. We were delighted to see WMODA members, Gail and Neil, who brought in their bronze and ivory figurine by A. Brandel. Gail had purchased it for $3 in a thrift shop, and it was valued at around $600 at auction. Another WMODA member, Adele, brought in an unusual serving set in the form of bones, made by Michael Aram, which was particularly appropriate for the Day of the Dead!
