Happy Holidays

The Holidays are a little different this year at WMODA. Although we are surrounded by thousands of boxes, they are not beautifully gift-wrapped! We are busy packing our fired arts collection for the Great WMODA Pack-Up & Move early next year.

Santa’s Elves have some serious competition - so far we have packed more than 60% of the collection into 2,000 boxes!

Giving Back

We’re still taking time to celebrate the Holidays and we are organizing festive food and toy drives spearheaded by our logistics manager, Luis Montanez. We hope to bring some seasonal joy to the less fortunate in our community just as in previous years.

Ugly Christmas Sweater Day

On Friday, December 16, we celebrated Ugly Christmas Sweater Day. Garish woolly pullovers with festive motifs emerged in Yuletide culture during the 1950s when they were known as Jingle Bell Sweaters. The WMODA team always enjoys this heartwarming expression of holiday cheer.

Hannukah

The festival of lights begins on Sunday, December 18 as we celebrate Hannukah with our friends and family. Many will be lighting the first candles on their beautiful glass menorahs acquired at the WMODA gift shop.

Thank You

A special thank you to the expanded team of WMODA staff and volunteers for all their hard work during the Great WMODA Pack-up. Stay tuned for details of our new home early next year!
