To celebrate World Art Deco Day and the centennial of the Art Deco movement, WMODA is hosting a sensational weekend event featuring the Fired Arts of the Roaring Twenties and Glamorous Thirties. Discover all the pottery, porcelain and glass art made a century ago by British and European designers in the museum’s Art Deco Gallery. Find out what was going on in art and architecture in South Florida and further afield as we celebrate the Centennial of the City of Hollywood.

The regular museum admission charge, payable at the door, includes all the WMODA exhibition galleries and the museum’s entertaining Art Deco scavenger hunt.

Pre-registration is required for the morning or afternoon Special Sessions featuring expert speakers. Booking is through Eventbrite and space is limited. Special Session tickets are $30 and include your admission to WMODA. Cheers! Celebrate the Art Deco Centennial with bubbly and sweet bites in the Special Sessions.

Art Deco Morning Session • 10:00 am to 12:30 pm

10:00 am – Enjoy all the museum galleries, including our spectacular Art Deco collection.

11:00 am – Flappers, Vamps & Divas Louise Irvine, Executive Director & Curator of WMODA, showcases the pottery, porcelain and glass art in the museum’s Art Deco collection.

12:00 pm – Art Deco! What? Where? When? Stephanie Sabato, Professor Emeritus of Design and Communications, gives her perspective on the historical evolution and meaning of the forms of the Art Deco Movement.

Art Deco Afternoon Session • 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm

1:30 pm - Enjoy all the museum galleries, including our spectacular Art Deco collection.

2:00 pm – Flappers, Vamps & Divas Louise Irvine, Executive Director & Curator of WMODA, showcases the pottery, porcelain and glass art in the museum’s Art Deco collection.

3:00 pm – Keeping the Art in Art Deco Sharon Koskoff, President of the Art Deco Society of the Palm Beaches, celebrates Art Deco’s architectural legacy in South Florida and around the world.

4:00 pm – WMODA CLOSES
