Join Kiki Sylvain of SK Butterflies for an engaging morning designed to inspire curiosity and an appreciation for nature while surrounded by the magnificent collections at WMODA. Kiki is a professional butterfly breeder and artist, and this presentation will beautifully tie the wonders of the natural world to the art in our galleries for an unforgettable, hands-on educational experience for participants age 8 and up.
Incredible Metamorphosis
This interactive experience is perfect for families. Participants will learn how butterflies grow, how they transform through their incredible metamorphosis and the important role these pollinators play in our ecosystem. Meet live caterpillars, chrysalises, and butterflies as you observe their fascinating anatomy and adaptations up close.
Interactive Encounters
Enjoy the magic of these delicate creatures during this engaging workshop. Discover which plants attract butterflies and learn how to create your own butterfly-friendly garden. The presentation features an interactive Q&A where children and adults can ask questions, along with special photo opportunities with live butterflies.
Butterfly Release
After the presentation, there will be a breathtaking live butterfly release! Museum admission is included with this program, so after the release feel free to explore the museum or try one of our fun scavenger hunts as you celebrate nature and the art that reflects its beauty.

Registration for this special ticketed class is $30 per participant.
