Museum Rules & Visitor Policies
To ensure the safety of our unique collections and provide an enjoyable environment for all, we kindly ask that you observe the following guidelines when visiting WMODA:
Protect the Collection
Please Do Not Touch - Help us preserve these extraordinary works of art for future generations by refraining from touching any objects in the museum.
Keep a Safe Distance - Please stay at least two feet (or 1 meter) away from all pedestals and wall-mounted artworks.
No Leaning - For your safety and the preservation of the art, please do not lean on pedestals, glass cases, or gallery walls.
No Photography Equipment - Handheld photography for personal use is encouraged! However, the use of tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, or professional flash is strictly prohibited to prevent accidents or damage to light-sensitive pieces.
Food, Drink, & Personal Items
Clear Water Only, No Food or Other Drinks Allowed - Only clear bottled water is permitted on the gallery floor; all other food, beverages, gum, and candy must be finished or discarded before entering.
No Luggage, Large Bags, or Backpacks - Large bags, backpacks, or umbrellas larger than 11" x 15" are not permitted on the gallery floor; please leave these items in your vehicle or check them at the front desk.
Carry Bags on the Front - Small bags or purses must be carried at your side or in front of your body, never on your back.
No Weapons Allowed - No weapons of any kind are allowed in the museum. Please leave them at home or in your vehicle. Anyone seen carrying a weapon will be asked to leave the museum immediately.
Gallery Etiquette
Supervise Children - We love welcoming young art enthusiasts! For their safety and the safety of the art, children must always be accompanied by an adult and are not permitted to run or climb in the museum.
No Smoking or Vaping - WMODA is a smoke-free and vape-free facility.
Service Animals - The Americans with Disabilities Act defines a service animal as any guide dog, signal dog, or other animal individually trained to aid an individual with a disability. These service animals are welcome in the museum galleries during museum hours. Pets, emotional support animals or companion animals are not allowed in the museum.
