Join us at WMODA on Saturday, October 10, for a brilliant, fused glass workshop where you’ll create beautiful jewelry with talented glass artist and teacher Chelsea Rousso. Whether you have experience with fused glass or are simply looking for a creative experience, Chelsea’s hands-on workshop is the perfect opportunity to explore the magic of glass art and create one-of-a-kind jewelry you’ll be proud to wear.

Chelsea will expertly guide workshop participants through the fused glass process and share tips, techniques, and inspiration along the way. You’ll discover exciting possibilities of working with glass as you craft unique jewelry for yourself or as gifts for friends and family. You’ll have the opportunity to make four pieces: either two fused glass pendants and two pairs of earrings or, if you prefer, four pendants.

Chelsea will bring a beautiful selection of glass to experiment with color, texture, shape, and pattern, reflecting your personal style and imagination. She will also provide an 18-inch nickel silver colored chain with a bale and some black cords. If you are making earrings, she will have findings for clips or pierced ears.

After the workshop, Chelsea will take all your creations to her kiln for firing, and you will see how the flames have transformed your glass jewelry at the Grand Reveal on Sunday, October 25 at 2:00 pm. Bring a friend to WMODA that day to see what a wonderful artist you are or collect your jewelry at your leisure from the museum after that date!

The Wearable Glass Art Jewelry Workshop costs $130 or $120 for WMODA members and includes:

2 ½ hours of expert fused glass teaching by Chelsea Rousso.
Superior colored glass from the Bullseye Glass company.
A jewelry chain, bale, findings and cords
Instruction and use of specialist cutting tools.
Kiln firing of your glass jewelry by Chelsea Rousso.
Admission to WMODA for you and a friend on Sunday, October 25 at 2:00 pm for the Grand Reveal and to collect your artwork.
