The Fired Arts Spark a New Cultural Experience in Hollywood, Florida

Hollywood, Florida – The Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts (WMODA), a world-class destination for the Fired Arts, is proud to welcome visitors in the heart of the South Florida Design & Commerce Center. Founded in 2014 by Arthur Wiener, WMODA preserves and showcases over 3,000 masterpieces of glass and ceramic art that span centuries, continents, and cultures.

Ceramics are Cool and Glass is Hot at WMODA!

WMODA is dedicated to the beauty and technical brilliance of art made with fire. The museum’s Fired Arts galleries offer an immersive experience, challenging the traditional perceptions of decorative art.

Ceramic Art at WMODA transports visitors through time, exploring the elegance of celebrated British potters like Wedgwood and Royal Doulton and innovative design movements like Art Nouveau and Art Deco.

The Hot Glass Gallery showcases the creative exuberance of modern masters, including one of the largest collections of works by Dale Chihuly in the world, along with the pioneering French designer René Lalique.

Contemporary Innovation and tradition are woven together throughout the museum, seen especially in the work of the Ardmore Studio in South Africa, where Zulu artists create vibrant, whimsical ceramic art and textiles. The Safari for the Soul gallery tells a compelling story about the power of art to uplift an entire community.

A Hub for Creativity and Community

WMODA is more than a museum; it is a vital resource for artistic and creative exploration in South Florida. Offering many educational programs, classes, workshops and other events year-round, WMODA invites visitors to experience for themselves the brilliance and vitality of creative inspiration through the Fired Arts.

WMODA has been recognized for its excellence, receiving the TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Award for six consecutive years and the 2023 Museum Excellence Award from the Florida Association of Museums.
