As we continue to relaunch WMODA in our Hollywood home, we are delighted to welcome groups again. Some of the organizations that have visited us so far specialize in arts and culture, while others cater to the diverse interests of seniors and lifelong learners. Groups range from 10 to 40 guests, and organizers should contact Kimberly Sheridan, our Visitor Services Manager, to make a reservation.

Welcome WMODA Hollywood
The feedback from our groups of all sizes has been very rewarding. We have had small groups of ladies who get together when their husbands are golfing, as well as large groups of men seeking cultural experiences with a difference. Our very first group in January was the “Men in Black” from Wynmoor, and they shared their museum experience in their community newspaper.
Groups are welcomed with a short introduction and orientation in our Contemporary Ceramics gallery before exploring the museum at their own pace. Many of our guests enjoy listening to the audio cellphone tour created by Louise Irvine, our Executive Director and Curator. This is included with admission, and we recommend bringing headphones or earbuds with your smartphone for the best experience. You can also preview the audio tour on the WMODA website.

Some guests prefer to read the interpretive signs around the galleries on the walls and in the cases. Visitors can also watch videos highlighting aspects of the collection, including our Secret Garden and Art Deco stars. Our helpful staff and volunteer gallery guides are on hand to answer questions and give directions. They even give clues for our scavenger hunts!
Special interest groups so far have included Partners for Art & Design from Miami, the American Society of Interior Designers in Florida South, and docents from the Boca Museum of Art. Future bookings include the Majolica International Society and Funding Arts Broward members.
The City of Parkland organizes enrichment trips for residents, and so far, their leader has brought two large bus groups to WMODA. Retirement villages and country clubs are bringing groups from Boca and Delray. It’s only a 45-minute journey south on I-95 to Hollywood and the museum is conveniently located one block west of the highway.

Groups are arriving at WMODA by bus and carpool, and there is ample free parking. The museum spans 30,000 square feet over two floors with stairs and elevator access. There are restrooms and water fountains on both floors. WMODA features more than 3,000 works celebrating the Fired Arts of ceramics and glass across centuries, cultures and continents. We suggest around 2 hours for your visit. Some will want to linger longer and we hope will return on another occasion.
The museum is wheelchair accessible, and our caring staff members make every effort to accommodate special needs. We had an amazing visit from the Goodman Jewish Family Services, who provide programs to their community.
During group visits, there will be opportunities to shop for something special from our expanded WMODA Museum Shop and curated Studio Collection, which showcases fabulous artworks by potters, glassmakers, and jewelers in our community.
Group visits are now booking through March 2026, so check out the information on the groups page of our website. Contact Kimberly Sheridan. Email kimberly@wmoda.com Call 954-376-6690. Come together soon to WMODA!

Here’s what some of our group visitors are saying about WMODA
“Thank you for a wonderful, organized tour of the most amazing collections of glass and ceramic art. The new location is amazingly beautiful and we will definitely go again and highly recommend visiting it. Thank you!!” J. David
“Loved every moment! I will definitely recommend it to my friends and will visit it again. Thanks to the organizers and the friendly staff at the museum.” E. Davis
Thank you so much for inviting us to an amazing afternoon in the museum. It opened our mind and imagination to a very high level of talent. One day is not enough to take in what we saw. We would like to go again and take in what we didn't the first time. Amazing and unbelievable artists. H & J. Cohen
