The colors and atmosphere of the Venetian lagoon have inspired Anna Paola Cibin to create paintings of marine life on soft silk velvet embellished with murrine glass beads and gold leaf. The luxurious paintings shimmer and sparkle like glittering sunlight reflecting on water. Anna has combined the Venetian tapestry and Murano glass traditions in these exquisitely hand-crafted designs. The interplay of light on the silk velvet and murrine creates a magical, mesmerizing effect.  In addition to wall-mounted paintings of all sizes,  Anna creates her Joyful Fish, decorative sculptures that bring an elegant and whimsical touch to any interior. The fish is a metaphor for the world and its diversity and represents the artist’s deep connection to her Venetian heritage.
