Oscar Zanetti was born in 1961 in Murano and began to work in the local glass factories at the age of 14. He attended the Art Institute of Venice in the morning and spent the afternoons perfecting his knowledge of different types of glass. His professional training lasted fourteen years, working in the most prestigious glass factories, such as Venini and La Murrina. In 1986, he joined the family furnace to perfect his technique with his father, Licio, also a great Murano glass master. Oscar has inherited his father’s passion for naturalistic subjects and is known for his exquisite seashells. He has been exhibiting his original work in Murano and overseas since 1993.
