Glass is Hot at WMODA
Louise Irvine, our Executive Director & Curator, will fire your imagination with the museum’s diverse displays of hot glass in her enlightening talks at 1:00 pm on May 17 and 18 during our International Museum Day Celebration. There are many different styles of glass art in the WMODA collection, from blown glass by Chihuly to fused glass by Toots Zynsky, to cold-working by the Ferro brothers and flame-work by Paul Stankard. Louise will explore the connections between Murano glass from Italy and the American Studio Glass Movement. Louise’s talks are included with regular museum admission.
